Turbi-Float(TM) answers your requests for a truly
reliable, low maintenance floating pump system. By combining the
durability and performance features of enclosed lineshaft turbine pump
bowls, and a precision light weight dischange head and motor mount,
Turbi-Float(TM) eliminates troublesome packing and seals. Our unique drive coupling allows standard JM series
C-face motors to be used throughout the line. Three phase horsepower
through 50, single phase units to 10. A proven alternative to larger,
heavier, solid set pumps, Turbi-Float(TM) will change your perception
in specifying pumping equipment where surface waters are your source.

Typical Pond Installation:
When the wet well used with a heavy turbine pump became unusable, mid-season
excavation and reconstruction was impossible. A 40 HP Turbi-Float was called
upon to replace the existing pump. Results were so favorable that the owner
never even considered re-building the old equipment and going back to the
original set-up. |

Recycle Pits: Turbi-Float
is ideal for large, lined, wastewater and recycle pits where conventional
equipment cannot be used. |

Field Assembly & Launch:
Field sub-assembly consists of sliding each pontoon framework onto the
mounting lugs on Turbi-Float's mainframe. A safety cap is then secured so the
mainframe can pivot without risk of separation. The bottom end is propped-up
to allow moving this assembly into the water easily. Electrical connections
are usually performed before placement into the pond. |

 |
Pontoon: Turbi-Float(TM)
incorporates a modular pontoon float system which uses commercial grade dock
floats, these floats are foam filled and fully sheathed with a tough
polycovering. The floats are bolted to a fabricated steel framework, which
then fastens to the main pump unit. |

 |
Pump Secured (locked):
When the unit is deep enough to allow positioning into the vertical plane, the
temporary support brace is removed and Turbi-Float(TM) naturally aligns itself
vertically. Two safety locks are then inserted to make a rigid unit. The
discharge hose is connected at this time and the completed Turbi-Float(TM)
system is pulled into the desired position by mooring lines.
